Every short link and QR code you create is built to keep working for as long as tinee.link is up and running - there's no expiry date baked in, and we don't delete or deactivate a link just because time has passed. That's the promise behind our "Forever Scannable" guarantee, and it applies the same way on every plan, including Free.
Being honest about what "forever" can responsibly mean: no online service can promise to run literally forever. So here's our concrete commitment: for any QR code or short link created while your account is active and in good standing, we guarantee it will keep redirecting for a minimum of ten (10) years from its creation date. After that ten-year window, we intend to keep links running for as long as the service continues to operate, but we no longer treat that as a hard guarantee.
If we ever have to shut the service down, discontinue the domain, or otherwise stop honoring a link before its ten-year minimum is up, we will give registered account holders at least 90 days' advance notice by email so you have time to update your printed materials or export your data.
This guarantee applies to accounts in good standing. Links belonging to an account that has been deleted, suspended for a Terms violation, or that has had unpaid Pro invoices for an extended period may stop working sooner.
"Track Forever" is a related but separate promise, about your scan data rather than the link itself: we retain your scan history indefinitely, regardless of plan (see our Privacy Policy). What differs by plan is how far back you can view that history through the Analytics page - Free doesn't include the Analytics page, Pro can view the last 90 days, and Business can view your full history. Current plan details are on the Settings & Billing page inside your account.
tinee.link lets you generate short links and QR codes that redirect to a destination URL you control, and gives you scan analytics for them. You're responsible for the destinations you point your links at, and for keeping your account credentials secure.
You may not use tinee.link to create links or QR codes that point to phishing pages, malware, illegal content, spam, or anything designed to deceive or harm visitors, and you may not use anonymous/no-account creation to point at sensitive content you would not be willing to attach to a registered account. We reserve the right to disable any link that we reasonably believe violates this, with or without notice, to protect the domain's reputation and other users.
Beyond disabling an individual link, we also reserve the right to suspend or permanently close your entire account, without prior warning, if we determine - at our reasonable discretion - that it has been used to create spam, malicious, or otherwise sensitive or harmful links or QR codes. Where we can, we'll try to notify you after the fact and explain why, but protecting the domain and other users from active abuse takes priority over advance notice in these cases.
This applies to content hosted directly on a multi-link landing page as well, not just the destination a code or link points to - including an uploaded logo, voice greeting, or video. It also applies to the optional custom social sharing title, description, and image you can set for a QR code or landing page (shown when its link is shared on social media), available on Pro and Business plans. Visitors can flag a page they believe violates this policy using the "Report this page" link shown on every landing page, and we may also identify such content ourselves. If we determine, at our reasonable discretion, that a report or other finding is valid, we may deactivate the specific QR code, short link, or landing page involved, or take the account-level action described above, subject to the same notice practice. If you believe such a deactivation was made in error, you may appeal it by contacting support@tinee.link.
tinee.link is offered on a Free plan and two paid plans, Pro and Business. Plan features, pricing, and limits (such as the number of links, custom UTM parameters, or QR codes you can create) are described on the Settings & Billing page inside your account and may change from time to time; we'll do our best to give notice of any material change before it takes effect.
Each plan includes a set number of scans logged with full detail (country, device, referrer, and similar) per rolling 30-day window - 1,000 on Free, 50,000 on Pro, and 100,000 on Business. This is a fair use allowance, not a hard cutoff on the code itself: a QR code or short link keeps redirecting normally forever regardless of volume, on every plan - only detailed logging for new scans pauses once an account's monthly allowance is reached, and resumes automatically when the next 30-day window starts. Ordinary use (including a single link going viral now and then) is exactly what these allowances are sized for; an account that sustains volume well beyond its plan's allowance may be contacted about upgrading before we take that further.
Folders for organizing your QR codes are available on Pro (up to 5) and Business (up to 500). Business's folder limit is intentionally set high enough that it should never be a real constraint in ordinary use, but it is a real, enforced number, not a promise of unlimited storage.
Some features may be offered without creating an account. Where we do this, anonymous use is subject to the same Free plan limits described on our Settings & Billing page (for example, a cap on links per multi-link code and on custom UTM parameters), enforced using the IP address you're creating from rather than an account. IP-based limits are approximate - shared networks, mobile carriers, and VPNs can occasionally cause them to under- or over-count - so we offer this only as a courtesy tier and may adjust, throttle, or withdraw anonymous access at any time without notice.
Anonymously created QR codes are also subject to a scan-logging cap of their own, separate from the IP-based limits above: after a code's first 50 scans, we stop recording detailed analytics for it (country, device, referrer, and similar). This cap is tied to the code itself, not to any IP address, and doesn't depend on who does the scanning or from where. As with everything else in this section, the code itself keeps redirecting normally forever - only the detailed logging stops. Creating a free account before printing a code at scale gets a much higher monthly logging allowance, aggregated across every code on the account.
Because there's no account and no email address to reach you at, we can't send you a personal notice if these Terms change or if anonymous access is discontinued. By using tinee.link without signing up, you agree that using the service is your acceptance of the Terms in force at that time, and that checking this page periodically is your responsibility. For anything you plan to print, publish, or rely on, we'll also show a notice on the creation page itself before any change that would affect links you've already made, wherever that's practical.
The ten-year minimum / 90-day notice commitment in the callout above applies to links created by a registered account in good standing. Links created anonymously are operated the same way technically (we don't build in an expiry date for them either), but without that same formal guarantee or an individual notice, simply because we have no way to contact an anonymous creator. If you want the full guarantee for a code you're printing at scale or relying on long-term, create a free account for it.
We collect account details for registered users, anonymized scan analytics for anyone who scans a code, and (for anonymous QR code creation, where offered) the creating IP address to enforce the limits described above. Full details - including how to request that your personal data be deleted - are in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make a change that materially reduces the commitments in the "Forever" section above, we'll notify registered account holders by email in advance.
